Many escalator chains fail not because of long-term use, but because the heat wasn’t right — meaning improper carburizing or quenching during early processing of the link plates and pins.
These flaws aren’t always obvious at the start. But after a few months, they show up as abnormal noise, excessive elongation, or even breakage.
At Jiefeng Escalator Chain, we insist on in-house heat treatment.
We carry out carburizing and quenching entirely in our own facility, with precise control of temperature and time in every furnace load. This guarantees proper core hardness and case depth, and prevents hidden cracks or structural issues.
Why not outsource it?
